'Meet the Parents' Actress Dies of Pneumonia

LOS ANGELES -- Actress Nicole DeHuff, who memorably took a volleyball in the face from Ben Stiller in the 2000 hit movie "Meet the Parents", died of complications from pneumonia. She was 31.
DeHuff had twice visited a hospital shortly before her death Feb. 16 but was sent home both times, the E! Network's E! Online Web site reported Friday.
"Meet the Parents" was DeHuff's first film. A bumbling Stiller, who is dating her sister, accidentally breaks her nose during a volleyball game on the eve of her wedding. The action is one of many that estrange Stiller from DeHuff's menacing father, played by Robert De Niro.
The actress also appeared in the films "Suspect Zero" and "See Arnold Run" and had a starring role in the recently completed movie "Unbeatable Harold," which was directed by her husband, Ari Palitz.
She had a regular role in the 2002 TV series "The Court" and appeared on such other shows as "CSI: Miami," "Without a Trace," "Dragnet," "The Practice" and "Monk."
The Oklahoma native earned a bachelor's degree in drama from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh before moving to Los Angeles.

I'm quite sure most of you guys know who she is, esp when "meet the fockers" was in the movies some time back. I love "meet the parents".. always remember that "circle of trust" theory her dad told focker, the hilarious things focker did and of course, eventually the heartwarming ending. Although she wasn't the main actress, i can still remember her and her doctor husband vividly.Very shocking news about the death of Dehuff. It took me a while before her death got registered in my head. Thoughts like "you sure it's the meet the parents actress"ran across my mind. Anyway, I heard that she was mis-diagnosed twice and the doctors merely gave her some Tylenol. So, she could be cured. It was just some little mistakes that doctors made.Her death also makes me think abt life and the fraility of it all. All so cliche. R.I.P Ms DeHuff..Yesterday, I had interact camp the whole day. It was very fun.. got to know more people and "interact" with the interacters. The programme was basically a hike at bukit timah hill, followed by a singapore frenzy which was like an amazing race. But the singapore frenzy was just an orchard-road frenzy because we got all my required stuff from there. Kong Jien (not sure about the spelling -- he's the president of interact btw) was a effecient leader. Nice guy who's quite soft-spoken. Haha.. oh, i thought we j1s are very enthu, but you should have seen the 2 j2s. They were the 1st ones to run around the place trying to get stuff.. (: Overall, the camp was a huge success!! a dirty joke for you guys. if you don't like dirty jokes, just don't read on cos i think it's quite gross too. happened to come across it at some forum..How do deaf have sex?Two deaf people get married.
